Join them for Honey Bee Day at the Zebulon Farm Fresh Market located at the Zebulon Community Center, 301 S Arendell Ave. Zebulon, NC. Baxter’s Bees, Bennett Bunn Plantation and Five County Beekeepers Association will host a “Honey Bee Day” at the Zebulon Farm Fresh Market. Local beekeepers will be available to provide information on the important role honey bees play in our food supply, the beautification of our landscapes and to answer questions about bees and honey. Honey Bee Day at the Zebulon Farm Fresh Market will give people the opportunity to see what beekeeping is about and find out what happens inside a working bee hive.  Come out and examine a hive of bees and locate the different types of bees in a colony and see where honey and pollen are stored.  Other activities will include a honey recipe contest, cooking demonstration using honey by Chef Ryan Boudreaux, bee themed games for the kids, free face painting, raffles for free produce and honey from the market. And most importantly, don’t forget to purchase honey lip balm, honey soap, honey body butter, honey candles, and honey at the market.
