Occoneechee-Island in the Sky

Explore the biodiversity of the Occoneechee Mountain Loop Trail at the highest point of elevation from Hillsborough to the Atlantic Ocean.  It’s a moderate hike of a little over 2 miles, with some minor up/down changes in elevation.
 
**Children must be accompanied by an adult.  
 
**It is strongly recommended that participants should wear closed-toe shoes that are appropriate for hiking.  We also suggest bringing bug spray, a full water bottle, snack, and a rain jacket.
