Beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4, children of all ages will have the opportunity to create a variety of interesting arts and crafts projects and enjoy a slew of games, activities and giant inflatables. All of these festivities are free and will take place at the Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave., and R.H. Forrest Field, 123 W. Owen Ave. Schedule of Events Arts & Crafts: 11 am – 1 pm Inflatables: 11 am – 1 pm Tug of War: 11:30 am – Noon Sack Races: Noon – 12:30 pm Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest: 12:30 pm Pie Eating Contest: 12:45 pm Several giant inflatables will be set up inside R.H. Forrest Field, along with a variety of contests and games, and the VFW Chuckwagon will be on-site selling concessions. Additionally, brought to you by the Wake Forest Woman"s Club, arts and crafts activities will take place inside the Wake Forest Community House, and will include various red, white and blue themed crafts for all ages, cupcake decorating, tattoos, stickers and a patriotic photo booth complete with costumes.
