Historic Yates Mill County Park
Historic Yates Mill County Park Saturday, June 16th 1pm–4pm (drop in program). For all ages, FREE. Registration not required. Head to the mill yard anytime during the program time.

Mill owner William Boylan was involved in many enterprises, including journalism. He moved to Fayetteville in 1796 to join his uncle who published newspapers and, in 1799, to Raleigh where he published the Minerva. The productivity of presses increased over time, because of improvements in press construction and the use of steam power. Explore the technological evolution of the printing press and "print" your own card to take home.
