Join a Park Ranger to watch "The Incredible Journey of the Butterflies", a 45 minute documentary about the migratory lifecycle of the Monarch Butterfly. This film touches upon the importance of this unique and fragile creature that relies solely on the milkweed plant for its survival. After the film, we will take a short walk to some (hopefully still blooming) Swamp Milkweed at Big Lake and take home some Butterfly Weed (a native milkweed variety) seeds to start your own milkweed garden at home next spring.
