If you are concerned about the quality of local water, tired of seeing trash washed up after every storm, or just want to make your community a healthier, more beautiful place, then this is your chance. Through the national Big Sweep Campaign EVERYONE is invited to help clean up our streams, wetlands, ponds, and lakes. Groups will be given the materials they need and then fan out across the Fuquay area to clean sweep targeted waterways. 

 

The Big Sweep will be held on SATURDAY, MARCH 19 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Carroll Howard Johnson Environmental Education Park, 301 Wagstaff Road or South Lake Community Club House.  The Big Sweep is sponsored in partnership by the Town of Fuquay-Varina Engineering and Parks & Recreation Departments and the Center for Human-Earth Restoration.  Please pre-register so the appropriate supplies will be at the sites!
