Holding Park
Holding Park. Wednseday, July 4th, 11:00am-1:00pm Free event

Beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, children of all ages will have the opportunity to create a variety of interesting arts and crafts projects, join in a slew of games and activities, and enjoy giant inflatables. All of these festivities will take place at Holding Park, 133 W. Owen Ave. and R.H. Forrest Field, 123 W. Owen Ave.

Game activities will take place at Holding Park and include sack races, a watermelon seed spitting contest and a pie eating contest.

Arts and crafts activities will take place inside the Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave., and will include decorating a sun visor, patriotic magnet, cupcake, and treat bag.

Several giant inflatables will be set up at R.H. Forrest Field.

Wake Forest police will also be on hand offering a K9 unit demonstration, while the Wake Forest Fire Department will have a fire truck on display.

All activities on July 4 are free, and a variety of food/dessert trucks will be on-site selling concessions.
