Vietnam Veterans Day Weekend

The North Carolina Museum of History
North Carolina Museum of History. March 27th–29th, Friday–Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday noon–5pm.

Meet Vietnam veterans, and see equipment—including vehicles and helicopters—and personal memorabilia—such as uniforms, weapons, and gear. A Field Cross memorial, a display of the state’s POW and MIA heroes, and a 1/8-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall are also highlights of the weekend.

Film: Etchings in Stone: Memories of North Carolina’s Vietnam Veterans

This film of a thought-provoking play by North Carolina Vietnam veteran Ron Harris places audience members “inside” the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall so individuals are privy to the words and unspoken thoughts of passing visitors. Music, video clips, and photographs from the Vietnam era are featured.

Friday, March 24, 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 25, 2 p.m.

Sunday, March 26, 2 p.m.

Sponsored by North Carolina Vietnam Veterans Inc.
