It's St Patrick's Day in Raleigh! Put on your green and get Downtown Saturday for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. After the parade, make your way over to City Plaza for the Wearin' O' the Green Festival.

The North Carolina Museum of History will host the Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance Sunday for a Music of the Carolinas performance.

Saturday is Reptile and Amphibian Day at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! This year's theme is frogs and there promises to be plenty of live reptiles and amphibians along with hands on activities, lectures and displays.

The North Carolina State Farmers Market will kick off spring this weekend with a Spring Craft Fair.

The monthly Discovery Series returns to the Holly Springs Cultural Center Friday night with Dr. Katherine Loflin presenting "Place Match: The City Doctor's Guide to Finding Where You Belong."

Art After Hours returns to Downtown Wake Forest Friday with food, merchants and music.

Bring friends and family to the legendary gathering of 50+ food trucks, local craft beer and live music this Sunday at Durham Central Park's Food Truck Rodeo.

The Monday Morning Movie at the Holly Springs Cultural Center will be Princess Diaries 2.

The Tuesday Morning Movie at Halle Cultural Arts Center will be Ice Age 2.

Fun at the Museums

Marbles Kids Museum invites you to join them every week for Twilight $2 Thursdays featuring extended hours and discount admission.

Check out this week's Science Thursday at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences to learn how to Repair the Tear: Healing Sports Injuries in Horses and Humans.

On Friday night, the North Carolina Museum of Art kicks it up a notch featuring music by Sidecar Social Club and themed small plates and beverages for Art in the Evening. You are also invited to enjoy a Sound Bite on a Gentle Reminder. Follow the fun with the 1992 film, Strictly Ballroom written and directed by Baz Luhrmann.

Come back to the Art Museum Saturday to take a Guided Tour of the Museum Park or join in on a Family Fun Saturday featuring Digital Photos: Energy of Youth. Meet Your Museum Tours and Weekend Family Friendly Tours are also offered both Saturday and Sunday every weekend.

Historic Yates Mill Pond County Park will be offering Tours of the Old Mill on Saturday and Mill Heritage & Local History Tours on Sunday.

Fun at the Fairgrounds

Thinking about summer out on the lake? The Chatlee Boat Show & Sale comes to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds all weekend with a large selection of saltwater, skiffs, ski & deck boards to choose from.

The Triangle Farms NCHJA "C" Indoors Show over at the Hunt Horse Complex Friday through Sunday will be a Hunter Jumper Horse Show.

The Carolina Coin and Stamp Show will also be at the Fairgrounds this weekend with coins, postcards, stamps and currency.

Spring Comes to the Parks

Eno River State Park invites you to try Shinrin-yoku or Forest Bathing Friday afternoon.

Nantahala Outdoor Center will be bringing their staff and equipment to a free Demo Night at Optimist Pool Friday. Come try out their gear and learn some tips from the pros at NOC.

They will be taking an Owl Prowl Friday after dark at Falls Lake State Recreation Area. Come back Saturday to learn about Dangerous Plants and Animals to avoid on your next hike.

The will combine the Junior Ranger Program with the Animals of Umstead Saturday for kids 6-12.

Pitch, Hit & Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete; free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. Kids 7-14 are invited to Lake Lynn Park Saturday to participate in this free competition.

Jordan Lake, in conjunction with educators from Morehead Planetarium will host an Astronomy Viewing Session after dark Saturday.

West Point On The Eno has transitioned to their Spring Hike Series every Sunday afternoon. This week, join them for the Annual Source of the Eno Pilgrimage. Riverdave delineated the source to be a pond on the West Fork of the Eno River on property owned by the Hoyt Wright family. You must register for this free adventure.

Harris Lake hosts their monthly little kids programs Monday with programs about butterflies. Ages 1-3 can attend Nature Tots and ages 3-5 won't want to miss Forest Friends.

Hill Street Community Center hosts fun holiday themed craft programs throughout the year. Kids 5-12 are invited to join them Wednesday to celebrate the First Day of Spring.
