Here in the Triangle we have another awesome summer weekend jam packed with fun events and activities! Start the fun Thursday with movies, concerts and celebrations.

Halle Cultural Arts Center continues their Free Week of Kid's Movies through Friday. Click thorugh for each day's featured flick.

Come and enjoy some amazing activities and fun games featuring nature's essential element: Water at Pullen Park Thursday morning.

The State Farmers Market in Raleigh will be celebrating Watermelon Day during lunch Thursday.

Thursday's Science Cafe at the North Carolina Museum of Sciences explores a Reversing the Irreversible: Repairing Heart Damage along with extended hours.

Get out to a Park for Some Fun in the Sun

The fun at the parks starts after the sun goes down Friday. Join them at Lake Crabtree for Moth Night to celebrate National Moth Week.

Prairie Ridge Ecostation hosts weekly events includingCitizen Science Saturdays and Nature Stories on Thursdays.

Crabtree Casters invite you to enjoy an evening of fishing on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of every month at Lake Crabtree County Park.

Get outside, get moving and get healthy! Join a Raven Rock State Park ranger each Thursday morning for an invigorating Hike for Your Health.

They will be offering Half-hour Guided Tours Saturday and Mill Heritage & Local History Tours of the fully restored mill on Sunday at Yates Mill.

Music this Weekend

Old Habits with The Carmonas will be featured at Thursday night's Pickin' in the Plaza in Raleigh's City Plaza. Join them for music along with food trucks, local and craft beers on tap, and more!

Thursday evening's Back Porch Music concert at the American Tobacco Campus features both the Stray Birds and Sarah Shook & the Disarmers

Drew Foust and the Slim Pickins will be playing on the South Lawn of the Courthouse for Downtown Hillsborough's Last Friday festivities.

Samantha Fish will be featured in this Friday night's Warehouse Blues Series at Durham Central Park.

The Fireside Collective will be playing the tunes and food truck Bulkogiwill be serving dinner on the Front Porch of the Carolina Inn Friday.

Join the Final Friday Night Art Crawl in Downtown Cary featuring Arts Entertainment Hubs in three designated areas around downtown that will host outdoor performing arts and food trucks

Peter Lamb and the Wolves will be playing the tunes for Friday night's Art in the Evening at the North Carolina Museum of Art along with a Sound Bite all about Summer Storms.

Rock out to Jamrock's authentic reggae rhythms as they play "Yard Style" reggae Friday evening at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center.

The Raleigh Concert Band will be playing this week's Sunday Concert in the Park at Chavis Community Park.

Movies at the Parks and Museums

Movies by Moonlight at Regency Park will feature theHunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 on Friday night after dark.

Carol will be on the big outdoor screen Friday night at the North Carolina Museum of Art. Come back after dark Saturday for a concert by Eileen Ivers, followed by screening of Brooklyn

Zootopia will be playing on the big outdoor screen after dark Saturday at the Apex Nature Park.

Carroll Joyner Park will host a Family Movie Night after dark Saturday featuring the classic film Karate Kid.

Raleigh Little Theater will be showing Movies in the Garden on Sunday nights along with pre-movie activities and food trucks. This weeks movie will be Cinderella and food will be provided by Sarge's Cafe and Stufted.

A Movie will be playing in the cool air conditioning of the Holly Springs Cultural Center Monday morning. Come back Wednesday afternoon for another movie.

Even More Fun Events

The Sportscard and Sports Memorabilia 3-Day Showreturns to the NC State Fairgrounds this weekend.

At the Hunt Horse Complex of the Fairgrounds, theRaleigh Summer Dressage I & II Show will feature Dressage under saddle classes at all levels, Intro to Grand Prix, Sport Horse under saddle and in-hand classes both Saturday and Sunday.
