Friday Kicks off the Weekend

Just outside the Triangle, the Natural Science Center of Greensboro invites you to enjoy an evening of lights and music for Laser Zeppelin. Shown on their OmniSphere Theater's 40-foot dome, the sounds of Led Zepplin will wash away the winter blues. There are 3 shows Friday night.

Iris after Dark at the North Carolina Museum of Art features music, small plates and drink specials as well as the last film in the Winter Film Series, The Crime of Monsieur Lange.

The 13th Annual Mill as Muse Artists Reception will take place Friday evening. Come see all the youth and adult artwork that were entered in this year's contest and see which pieces win.

Fort Dobbs State Historic Site will be commemorating the 1760 Cherokee Attack on Fort Dobbs both Saturday and Sunday with on-going displays of camp life, as well as scheduled musket and cannon firing demonstrations.

The Shape Note Singers will present Sunday's Music of the Carolinas concert at the North Carolina Museum of History.

Head on over to Downtown Chapel Hill Sunday afternoon for Lightup 2019. Come to enjoy a variety of delicious Asian foods as you watch folk dances, music ensembles and Peking opera along with the dragon dance and after dark, the thousand-lantern parade to usher in the New Year.
