Here in the Triangle we have another awesome summer weekend jam packed with fun events and activities! Start the fun Thursday!

Prairie Ridge Ecostation highlights a Nature Story every Thursday morning along with activities and exploration for your little ones.

The State Farmers Market in Raleigh will be celebrating Watermelon Day during lunch Thursday.

Marbles Kids Museum invites you to enjoy all their activities for only $3 every week during Play Late for Less from 3pm-7pm.

Thursday's Science Cafe at the North Carolina Museum of Sciences explores Concussions - Beekeeping in the City along with extended hours. Learn about beekeeping in an urban setting with Bee Downtown.

Get out to a Park

Join an Eno River park ranger Friday morning for a guided hike to learn about the Fight for the Fate of the Eno River Valley and the efforts of Margaret Nygard and others to preserve the region or take a History Hike along the Buckquarter Creek Trail to learn about two historic houses-the Anthony Cole House and the Sisterhouse on Saturday. Come back Sunday for a Morning Bird Walk.

Come and learn about Occoneechee Mountain's Geologic Wonders Saturday as you explore the pyrophyllite quarry with a real geologist!

Join a Falls Lake park ranger Saturday afternoon to learn all about the Animals of Falls Lake.

They will be exploring the Power of the Sun Sunday afternoon at Crowder District Park.

They will be offering Half-hour Guided Tours Saturday and Mill Heritage & Local History Tours of the fully restored mill on Sunday at Yates Mill. You can also Paddle the Pond Saturday and explore the park from the water.

Music this Weekend

The Bull City All-Stars Drumline with Caroline Brodie will be featured in this Friday night's PLAYlist concert at Durham Central Park.

Shadowgrass will be joined by the musicians of Jam Camp for a concert Friday evening at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center.

The evening will feature a concert by Orquesta GarDel on the South Lawn of the Courthouse along with artists food vendors and craftspeople at Downtown Hillsborough's/ Chapel Hill's Last Friday Art Walk.

Blue Cactus will be playing Friday night at the Apex Nature Park.

Counterclockwise will be playing and Triangle food truck Bull City Street Food will be serving dinner on the Front Porch of the Carolina Inn Friday.

Join the Final Friday Art Loop in Downtown Cary featuring Arts Entertainment Hubs in three designated areas around downtown that will host live music and food trucks

Its Finally Friday in Apex. Join them for entertainment and food along Salem Street.

EG Peters Band, will be performing groovy 60's tunes all the way to today's hits Friday night for a Summer at the Springs Outdoor Concert in Holly Springs.

This Sunday's Concert in the Park will feature the sounds of Jessica Jordan at Pullen Park.

Movies

Incredibles 2 will be the featured Movie by Moonlight this Friday night at Regency Park.

Final Friday brings Despicable Me to the big screen at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences along with science stations, live music and food.

Lake Benson will combine a Family Movie Night and a Family Camp-Night. The movie is free for all, but the camp-out does have a fee and requires pre-registration. The featured flick Friday night will be Mary Poppins Returns.

They will be showing How to Train Your Dragon 2 along with food truck Fat Boys Kitchen Saturday evening at Falcon Park.

Come enjoy family favorite Mulan on the big screen Saturday evening at Carroll Joyner Park. Go early to have your name written in Chinese characters, make Chinese lanterns and enjoy some games.

Sleeping Beauty will be playing in the cool air conditioning of the Holly Springs Cultural Center Monday morning.

Even More Fun Events

The Halle Cultural Arts Center will host an Opening Reception for the Watercolor Society of North Carolina Friday night. The show runs through August 30th.

The Holly Springs Farmers Market features Founders Day this Saturday! A variety of town departments will be on hand, and several historical sites in downtown can be toured.

Explore Downtown Durham and learn how it has transformed itself from an industrial center to the City of Medicine on a Durham Architecture & the Urban Landscape Walking Tour Saturday morning.

The Raleigh Antiques Extravaganza delivers quality exhibitors from Florida to New England, featuring antiques and old collectibles at the Fairgrounds all weekend.
